Refund / Cancellation

REFUND/CANCELLATION POLICY  

 

To be eligible for a refund, items must be unused, unworn, unwashed and undamaged by you and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging including price tag or any additional/promotional materials you have received with the order. Our refund policy lasts 3 days, under the condition that you notify us within 24 hours of delivery of the goods to your address. If 3 days have gone by since your delivery, unfortunately, we can’t offer you a refund or exchange. Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately, sale items cannot be refunded.

 

Made-to-order: 

Made-to-order pieces once placed cannot be cancelled, as we have to go through extra steps to process your high-value order.

 

Can sale items be returned and refunded?

Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately, sale items cannot be refunded.

 

Can an ordered item be cancelled?

Once ordered, our cancellation policy lasts 2 days, ie., you notify us within 48 hours of placing your order. We will refund the full amount.

 

To complete your return and refund, we require a receipt or proof of purchase. We take utmost care and attention to detail while preparing the products for shipping. All products are thoroughly checked to the finest details to verify the quality of the product before shipping. In the unlikely event that the product arrives damaged, you should email us a photo of the damaged product with the receipt. You must email us about any damaged items in your shipment within 24 hours of receiving your order. If you would like to exchange a faulty item instead of obtaining a refund, please be aware that we can only replace it for the same product in the same size, subject to availability.

Additional non-returnable items:

  • Gift cards
  • Any item that is returned more than 3 days after delivery
  • Items which have been used or tried, tags are broken.
  • Items that are damaged or soiled.
  • Items that are damaged as a result of normal wear and tear, which are not considered to be faulty.
  • Items returned in a used or damaged condition.
  • In case of minor design and color variations. With handloom products, there will always be some variation between products.
  • Package refused by recipient.
  • Custom made orders.

 

Refunds (if applicable) 

Once your return is received and inspected, We will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If your refund is approved, after the processing, the credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within 5-7 business days.
However, shipping charges would not be refunded except where Shimai Jayachandra mistakenly sends you a wrong item/color/size. 

 

Late or missing refunds (if applicable)

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again. Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted. Next, contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted. If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at info@shimailjayachandra@online  Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately, sale items cannot be refunded.

 

Exchanges (if applicable):

If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at info@shimailjayachandra@online and send your item to: 34 - KALAKSHETRA COLONY, BESANT NAGAR, CHENNAI, TAMIL NADU, 600090, India. Please be aware that we can only replace it for the same product in the same size, subject to availability

 

Gifts:

If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be emailed to you. If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and he will find out about your return. 

Return / Shipping:

To return your product, you should mail your product to: SHIMAI JAYACHANDRA, 34 - KUMANAN ROAD, KALAKSHETRA COLONY, BESANT NAGAR, CHENNAI, TAMIL NADU, 600090, INDIA. You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund. Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary. If you are shipping an item over ₹3000, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
